About Me

The vast majority of men and women going through or considering a divorce in California (or dealing with custody, paternity, or similar law family issues) often feel like they have only two options: 1) dealing with high-cost lawyers who will only jack up the cost of their family law matter while creating delay and conflict; or 2) trying to figure out their divorce or family law matter on their own, which can be confusing and result in errors and misunderstandings under the law, while still resulting in delay or conflict.

Through the Mediation and Law Office of Jeremy Masys, I provide a third way to men and women dealing with divorce and other family law issues throughout all cities and counties of California who want to resolve their issues in a mediated, collaborative, and/or negotiated process with professional guidance, all while keeping a primary focus on honoring the dignity and humanity of all involved.

As a mediator, I act as an unbiased neutral helping married partners and parents reach final, legally enforceable agreements without ever stepping into a courtroom, while also providing guidance from start-to-finish to complete all the legal paperwork necessary to resolve their family law issue. In mediation, I am happy to work with consulting attorneys representing the parties in their family law matter, but also frequently work as the sole divorce professional hired by parties to resolve their divorce or other family law case. I have a wonderful network of mediation-friendly consulting attorneys, forensic accountants, therapists and other divorce professionals to help in the resolution process, and am happy to provide referrals to both mediation clients and non-clients.

I also provide legal services as a consulting attorney for parties working with a mediator to provide review and legal advice throughout the mediation process, and I am also trained as a collaborative attorney to help men and women who seek to have their divorce finalized in a negotiated setting without any court involvement.
